Charter Flying from Adelaide to Tennant Creek and Port Augusta

Nov 7, 2017, 23:00 PM by Alliance Airlines

In November 2017 Alliance Airlines secured charter work flying from Adelaide to Tennant Creek operating Fokker 50 services over an eight month period until mid-2018. Civmec Construction and Engineering was awarded several contracts including camp set up, site civil, structural steel fabrication and the Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation (SMPEI) installation works at the Phillip Creek Compressor Station (PCCS) for Jemena’s Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project, located near Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.

Alliance has also been operating Fokker 50 services between Adelaide and Port Augusta on behalf of PYBAR Mining Services. PYBAR was awarded the contract for underground mining services at OZ Mineral’s Carrapateena copper-gold project in South Australia. The work includes construction of a 20-metre deep box cut, 7,500 metres of decline and lateral development, 1,500 metres of surface ventilation raises, and supply of all surface infrastructures to support the development. We are looking forward to operating in and out of Port Augusta on a regular basis again.

In both cases, we are operating these charters in conjunction with our partners at Virgin Australia. The majority of our passengers each week will be connecting between the Virgin RPT networks and our charter flights. Passengers will also be earning Velocity points on our charter sectors.
